Alternate Nostril Breathing, also known as Nadi Shodhana or Anulom Vilom, is a simple yet powerful breathing technique that helps in balancing the body's energy. Here's how to practice it:

  1. Sit comfortably with your back straight and shoulders relaxed.
  2. Place your left hand on your left knee with the palm facing up, using the Gyan Mudra (touch the tip of your index finger to the tip of your thumb).
  3. Use your right thumb to close your right nostril and inhale deeply through your left nostril.
  4. Close your left nostril with your right ring finger, release the right nostril, and exhale slowly and completely.
  5. Inhale through the right nostril, close the right nostril, release the left nostril, and exhale through the left nostril.
  6. This completes one cycle. Repeat for 5-10 cycles.

  • Practice on an empty stomach or at least 2-3 hours after a meal.
  • Start with 5 minutes and gradually increase the duration as you become more comfortable.
  • Focus on slow, deep, and rhythmic breathing.
